The financial services sector was once again Spain’s largest consulting market, accounting for nearly 31% of revenues and it tied with retail as the fastest-growing market in 2017. After focusing primarily on cost reduction and driving operational efficiency in recent years, consultants saw clients start to focus on more customer-centric projects.

Largely driven by the strong fintech presence in the market, clients in Spain increasingly sought consultants’ support in understanding the needs of their customers and designing and deploying new services to meet these.
