Source was recently commissioned by Atos Consulting to explore the views of over 200 senior managers about the ways in which working life has changed over the course of the last five years and the pressures they are under in today’s tough economic and business climate.
Atos had been encouraged by the level of response it received to its 2011 announcement that it intended to phase out the use of email amongst its employees, and decided to undertake some research into why the idea might have struck such a chord with people.
The resulting report can be found here: "Doing more with less: The new productivity paradigm"
We think it contains some very interesting findings both about the challenges people face at work and the way they overcome those challenges, with a special focus on the role that new technologies, such as social media platforms, can play.
Atos is in the process of pulling together a panel of delegates from client organisations to join them – through a series of discussions and seminars – as they attempt to realise their ambition of becoming a zero-email company. The panel will have the opportunity to follow the firm’s progress and to have an honest, warts-and-all, view of the challenges they face in doing so. We, at Source, think this represents a really valuable opportunity to learn about an exciting initiative first hand from the people undertaking it; and it’s certainly something that consulting firms don’t very often do.
If you are a senior manager or director responsible for improving performance in your organisation, and would like to be considered for a place on this panel, please contact Julie Ahadi. If you don’t want to join the panel, but would like to be kept informed of the progress of this initiative, please sign up here. For further information, please telephone +44 (0)20 3178 6445.
Some of the benefits of joining the panel include:
- Exclusive network of like-minded individuals who can share experiences
- Learn from an organisation that is already on the path to increasing productivity and reducing its reliance on email
- Understand the challenges a major organisation faces in doing this and how they are overcoming them, so you can take this back into your own organisation
- Watch the story unfold and have the opportunity to join the ongoing debate as part of a panel; to have an exclusive view of what is working and what isn’t – either as a passive member of an online community or to be part of a panel that meet on a regular basis.
Source is also watching this story unfold and you can read a number of blogs here by Source’s co-founder Fiona Czerniawska on this subject:
