Employee propositions—as you’ve never heard them beforeThursday 5th Jan, 2017By Fiona Czerniawska. Some years ago we wrote an article in which we took marketing phrases used by consulting firms and reversed them, in order to demonstrate that, if you’d never say “we don’t exploit our global network” for example, then there’s little point in saying that you do. Be cautious when stating the obvious. Recent research into employee propositions has prompted us to repeat the exercise... Careers at Super Smart Associates Your career is ours: we choose it, but you have to live with it. At its heart is a lack of opportunity: rather than put you through the stress of repeated promotion rounds or the chance to work at iconic organisations, we’ll find a corner of a client’s office and put your name on it, ideally for several years. When you emerge, you’ll know remarkably little about ground-breaking new technologies and will have lost any ability to hold down a long-term relationship. Working with us is a genuinely life-changing experience. Our projects have little impact on clients, the marketplace or society at large, and we want to work with people who feel as comfortable about that as we do. That means we only recruit people who look and think exactly like we do, people who take on challenges only grudgingly and who have absolutely no aspiration to grow their own skills or others’. Success here has very little to do with the quality of of our people, so we’re fine about promoting people whose everyday behaviour undermines our values. At Super Smart Associates, you’ll work alongside some of the world’s most mediocre thinkers, and will fight with your colleagues over the very limited resources we put at your disposal. Super Smart Associates: You don’t know us, and frankly, we’re not that interested in getting to know you. Blog categories: |
